Known for his evolving sound and openness to musical experimentation, J.M. Dee is a genre-defying songwriter and producer. Originally from Virginia, barely outside Washington, D.C., J.M. Dee now resides in Naples, Florida. His music explores old-school hip-hop and flirtations with jazz in addition to Pop and Rock and R&B.

With a style that refuses to settle into one box, J.M.Dee is driven by a passion for uniqueness and unpredictability. He has made a name for himself as an artist who enjoys keeping listeners on their toes, constantly presenting fresh, exciting music. As he puts it, “I never cared much for genre, nor do I ever want to settle on one. I want to be known as an artist who only ever wanted to present uniqueness.”

J.M.Dee’s musical influences are as diverse as his sound. His father’s vast collection of rock, Motown, and old country music laid the foundation for his love of melody, while his love of 80s Top 40 hits, new wave, and video game music like Soul Calibur and Banjo-Kazooie shaped his innovative approach to production and arrangement.
